Volkswagen Japan (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo: Brand Director Andrea Calcagni) will begin accepting pre-orders for the new T-Cross, a compact SUV that has undergone minor changes and has undergone further evolution, starting Saturday, July 6th. It will start at Volkswagen authorized dealers nationwide.
There are 3 grades in total. The nationwide suggested retail price (tax included) is 3,299,000 yen to 3,895,000 yen.
The T-Cross is one of the best-selling compact SUV models, with cumulative sales of over 1.2 million units worldwide in just five years since its European debut in 2019. It has received high praise in Japan, especially for its compact body size, pop and colorful exterior, and comprehensive safety equipment, and has been chosen by many new customers, mainly young people and women. As a result, from 2020, when it went on sale, to 2022, it ranked first in the number of registered vehicles in the imported SUV category for three consecutive years.

The new T-Cross, which has undergone minor changes, has evolved in all aspects the product features that received high praise in the current model. While maintaining the body size and ease of handling suited to Japan’s road conditions, the exterior design has been redesigned, with a focus on the lights and bumper design. In addition, the T-Cross is available in a total of eight colors, including its characteristic colorful body colors: Grape Yellow, Clear Blue Metallic, and King’s Red Metallic. The mid-grade “TSI Style” has an optional design package with a calm gray tone – Mistral.By adding a chic image to the pop image of the “T-Cross”, it will appeal to more customers. I set it up so you can choose.
The interior uses soft material for the dash pad to improve the texture. The premium sound system “BEATS Sound System” and heated front seats create an even more comfortable interior space.
The T-Cross is equipped with “IQ.LIGHT” LED matrix headlights, which are the first advanced equipment on the T-Cross, supporting safe driving at night through advanced control of the light’s irradiation range. In addition, all grades are equipped with the “Travel Assist” same-lane, all-vehicle-speed driving support system as standard equipment.
The entry grade is “TSI Active,” which comes standard with the latest driving support systems such as “Travel Assist” and lane-keeping assist system “Lane Assist,” as well as LED matrix headlights “IQ.LIGHT” and driver’s seat. / Three grades are available: “TSI Style,” which comes standard with a passenger seat heater, and “TSI R-Line,” which has a special exterior, special seats, and 18-inch aluminum wheels.
