Tokyo-Japan-France Institute will hold “Paris Festival 2024” to commemorate July 14th, France’s National Day.
Every year on July 14th, it is celebrated across France with spectacular fireworks and spectacular parades.
At “Paris Festival 2024,” which will be held on the same day, we are planning a variety of activities that will allow you to experience French culture, including a traditional toast from the French ambassador.

12:00: Speech and toast by Philippe Seton, Ambassador of France to Japan 12:00 – 18:00: Activities for children organized by AFJ (Association of French Residents in Japan)
13:00 – 15:00: AFJ Petanque Tournament Part 1
14:00 – 15:00: Screening of “Mademoiselle Holmes’ Investigation Diary” (Registration starts 30 minutes early)
13:15 – 13:30: Mini live performance by Mio Koseki, winner of the French singing competition “Chante en français”
15:45 – 17:45: AFJ Petanque Tournament Part 2
16:00 – 17:40: “Devil’s Leap – Protect Your Daughter! The Strongest Father” Screening (Registration starts 30 minutes early)
16:15 – 17:15: Tango workshop with Marcy and Maggie

The French-Japanese Institute of Tokyo is an official language school and cultural center of the French government.
Founded in 1952, it merged with the Cultural Affairs Department of the French Embassy, ​​the Yokohama Institute of Franco-Japanese Studies, the Kansai Institute of Franco-Japanese Studies, and the Kyushu Institute of Franco-Japanese Studies in 2012, resulting in its current form.
Tokyo-Japan-France Institute is a place where you can learn French and at the same time come into contact with the diverse cultures of the French-speaking world through events such as films, lectures, and exhibitions.
In addition to classrooms, the building has a movie theater and a library (mediatheque), which anyone is free to enter.
In June 2024, the French bistro “Loiseau de France” opened on campus. Please feel free to visit Petit France in Tokyo to experience the spirit of France.
