established, and is planned and operated by K-POP Business Course students, and K-POP Dance & Vocal Course students. It has been held as a training ground where people perform on stage. Until now, we have held the event at a live house inside the school, but this time, for the first time, we ventured out of the school and took on the challenge of holding it at Furumachi Rufuru Square.
Preparations began in April of this year, with students in the K-POP Business Course leading the charge, and the event was managed by the students, including planning, public relations, and sound and lighting.

In the contest section, 8 teams competed on their skills, and the judges were members of “TEAMMARU”, who are backup dancers for many K-POP artists. There was also a random dance time during the program, and when familiar songs were played, many people came out to the front space and enjoyed dancing regardless of age.

This time K-POP x SHOW! We would like to thank Hong In-young Bok, Consul General of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Niigata, for his congratulatory message and for his cooperation in providing prizes for the contest section. In addition, some of the citizens who attended the viewing said things like, “It’s great that young people like this gather in Furumachi.I hope this event will be held every year,” contributing to international exchange and regional revitalization. It was a successful event.
-Staff comments-
Ayumi Nakata (2nd year K-POP business course) said, “This was my first time actively managing an external event, and I was able to experience interacting with people from outside the school, which I couldn’t do when I was holding it within the school. Also, there were no major troubles on the day, and I was glad to see that both the audience and the performers were having fun.”
