1-1 What is Jalan Award?
“Jalan” began awarding and announcing the “Jalan Awards” in 2012 with the purpose of recognizing accommodation facilities and regions that achieved outstanding results in that year. By sharing and recognizing the outstanding efforts of accommodation facilities, we hold the Jalan Awards with the hope of conveying the appeal of accommodation facilities to many people and contributing to the evolution and development of the travel industry.
The travel site “Jalan.net”, the travel information magazine “Jalan”, tourism research and research, and the regional promotion organization “Jalan Research Center” achieved remarkable results in the year 2023 (April 2023 – March 2024). Thank you very much for receiving the “Jalan OF THE YEAR 2023 Best Accommodation Award”. I feel very honored to have received such a wonderful award.
As some of you may have guessed from the name, Kanazawa Sainoniwa Hotel is located in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture.
Ishikawa Prefecture may be fresh in your memory, but it was hit by the 2020 Noto Peninsula Earthquake on New Year’s Day this year. Looking back on the day of the disaster, even though all the staff members were worried about their own homes and families, none of them went home and they worked sincerely with the guests in front of them until late into the night. The image is burned into my eyes.
I am confident that our staff’s daily attitude of “if someone is in trouble, we want to help them somehow” and “we want to make things even a little better for our guests” led to us winning this award. Although Kanazawa Sainoniwa Hotel is very happy to receive this award, we believe that there is greater meaning and value in receiving this award for our facility, which operates in Ishikawa Prefecture. Six months have passed since the earthquake, and although we are now entering the recovery phase, the tourism industry continues to face difficult times.
We would like to take this opportunity to ask all of you who are here today, who are engaged in tourism, to continue to support us and to send us your customers as we work toward a revival.

We offer buffet-style dishes using plenty of local ingredients such as Kaga vegetables. Enjoy our hotel’s unique breakfast, featuring seasonal flavors, delicacies from the mountains and sea, and Japanese and Western cuisine.
The “Morning Colorful Omelet,” which was started during the coronavirus pandemic and is available every morning for a limited time of 30, is popular. An omelet that allows you to fully enjoy Kanazawa’s unique taste and appearance, such as sweet shrimp cream sauce and gold leaf.
