Nippon Ski Resort Development Co., Ltd. In the 2023-2024 season (seven months from November to May), the number of children visiting the venue, including NSD Kids Program activities, has reached 120,000, the highest number in the last six seasons (*), following last year. We will report that we have exceeded the limit.
In the 2018-2019 season before the coronavirus pandemic, there were just under 80,000 children visiting, but from the 2021-2022 season when we started the kids program, the number of children who used this program has continued to increase, and in the 2023-2024 season, we will be able to increase the number of children visiting. The number of participants was over 120,000, which is 1.5 times more than in the 2018-2019 season before the pandemic.
We will continue to strengthen our efforts to revitalize Japan’s ski resorts and regions, and to ensure that as many children as possible can enjoy Japan’s world-class snow and have a wonderful experience. *Comparisons are made with visitors from the last six seasons at six ski resorts that can be compared under the same conditions.

At NSD, we want to help children, who will support Japan’s future, experience the wonderful nature through our business and contribute to their growth.From the 2021-2022 season, NSD aims to encourage visitors to ski resorts. We have started a kids program.
Many visitors from overseas come to Japan in search of irreplaceable experiences and Japanese culture, and while the number of overseas visitors to ski resorts in search of Japan’s high-quality snow is increasing every season, unfortunately The number of visitors from families and young people is decreasing year by year. In this program, we work to support families in reducing the burden of entering snowy mountains, believing that wonderful experiences in nature during childhood will lead to children’s growth.

At NSD Group Ski Resorts, we are implementing initiatives to create an environment that is easy for families and children to visit. As a result, in 2023-2024, the number of child visitors excluding inbound visitors reached the highest number of approximately 120,000*1 in the past six seasons.

NSD Kids Program The NSD Kids Program responds to the trend that the number of children newly participating in winter sports is decreasing year by year, and by recruiting a limited number of season tickets for elementary school students and younger and supporting rental equipment during the season. , families are able to experience wonderful winter sports that allow them to become one with nature.
In the 2023-2024 season of the NSD Kids Program, two new ski resorts, Marunuma Kogen Ski Resort and Itoigawa Seaside Valley, will
participate, and the NSD Kids Program will be held at 12 ski resorts, allowing many children to enjoy winter sports. We have expanded our environment. “I want to go to the ski resort again!” In order to bring smiles to the faces of the whole family and experience the excitement of snowy mountains, the NSD Kids Program is created with the aim of creating an environment that reduces the burden of debuting on a snowy mountain and helping them fall in love with ski resorts. It’s starting.
In addition, we continue to offer menus that expand the experience for children at participating ski resorts, not only during the winter season but also during the green season.

Season tickets for the NSD Kids Program feature Pokemon designs. We are rooting for people to make their debut in the snowy mountains with the theme, “When you go to the snowy mountains, always take your Pokemon with you.” The Pokémon-designed lift IC ticket is a season ticket with your child’s photo on it, so once you get the IC ticket, you can go directly to the lift without having to stand in line to buy a lift ticket.

We are holding an event where you can ski on the slopes held by the NSD Kids Program together with former Japan representative ski and snowboard athletes who have participated in international competitions and won medals.
In 2023-2024, we held a total of 25 events with 582 children participating. By giving children valuable experiences, we encourage them to improve their skills and provide an environment where they can continue to enjoy winter sports even after they become adults.
