[Background of this initiative]
Sanjo City believes that providing comprehensive resident services in response to increasingly diverse regional issues is essential for regional development and sustainable municipal operations. In recent years, there has been an urgent need to solve problems such as expanding the scope of work that local governments are dealing with due to labor shortages, and we have focused on approaches that utilize cutting-edge technology, mainly Metaverse, as a means of DX (digital transformation) for business operations.
Through this collaboration agreement with Sanjo City, PwC Consulting and DNP, which have a track record of solving sustainability issues for local governments using the metaverse, aim to improve the sustainability of local governments by creating a relevant population. Masu.

The three parties will analyze Sanjo City’s issues, and based on the results, consider measures to expand the related population and expand the unique appeal of Sanjo City, starting with the use of the Metaverse.
As for our approach, we use an “agile model” that frequently verifies small hypotheses, thereby refining the feasibility and effectiveness of initiatives from planning to implementing measures, leading to early resolution of issues.
In addition to AI (artificial intelligence), smart mobility, which is a means of transportation linked to information systems,
next-generation high-speed communications, and robotics, etc. will be used to “disseminate the appeal of the region,” “improve living convenience,” and “employment.” We also envision the creation of a model case for sustainable urban development that utilizes
