Yamatane Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Iwao Kawarada, hereinafter referred to as the “Yamatane Group”) celebrated its 100th anniversary on July 3, 2024. To commemorate this, and to express our gratitude for the past 100 years and the challenge of change to many people, including the local community, we held a ceremony at Etchujima Park, which is adjacent to the headquarters premises, and A commemorative ceremony was held at Sumida River Terrace (Etchujima, Koto Ward). Approximately 900 people attended the ceremony, including business partners, local residents, employees, and their families.

-1.Fireworks launch-

The fireworks were set off with six themes: logistics, food, information, and real estate, which are the four businesses of the Yamatane Group, the logistics Kansai branch, and the finale, which represents the group as a whole. Fireworks themed to the logistics sector included blue to represent the Yamatane Group, red to convey passion, and golden fireworks to represent a gorgeous and bright future.In addition, fireworks themed to the food sector sparkled beautifully from spring to summer. Fireworks were set off to represent green rice fields and golden ears of rice during the autumn harvest season.
-2. Folk art performance (kiyari, lion dance, strength) –
With the desire to contribute to the promotion of local culture through the ceremony, we invited those who carry on the folk performing arts of Koto Ward. “Kiba Kiyari” by the Kiba Kiyari Preservation Society, “Fukagawa Chikaramochi” by the Fukagawa Chikaramochi Mutsumi Society (Koto Ward Registered Intangible Folk Cultural Property Folk Performing Arts, Tokyo Designated Intangible Folk Cultural Property Folk Performing Arts), and the Sunamura Hayashi Mutsumi Society We had a performance of “Lion Dance” (a folk performing art registered as an intangible folk cultural property in Koto Ward).

-3.Installation of bamboo light objects-
Bamboo light is an object made by cutting bamboo from an unnecessary bamboo grove, drilling holes in it, and lighting it with light. Bamboo light has the concepts of “ring” that widens the circle of connections between people, “wa” that expands the harmony of Japanese culture, and “ring” that expands the cycle of a sustainable environment. This is the purpose of the Yamatane Group’s 100th anniversary project, which is to revitalize the company by involving all Yamatane Group employees, to express our gratitude for the past and our future aspirations, and to promote sustainability in order to create a more prosperous society. Because it is in line with our desire to accelerate initiatives for the SDGs and SDGs, we used it as a 100th anniversary object at the ceremony venue.
The character “100” made of bamboo strips represents the past 100 years and the next 100 years, and the four bamboo balls represent the four businesses of logistics, food, information, and real estate. As many as 200 polished bamboo pieces were created by employees and their families, and each employee’s personal purpose is handwritten on the back, expressing our company’s purpose of “bringing together diverse human resources and creating the ability to contribute to society.” Did.

-4.Message by drone-
We used 300 drones to project our company logo into the night sky to express our gratitude to the people who watched the ceremony and the local community.
