On June 14, 2024, the revised Immigration Control Act was passed and enacted, with the pillar of establishing a new system called the “Development Work System” to replace the conventional technical intern training system. Under the new system, by updating the status of residence from training employment to Specified Skilled Worker No. 1 and then to Specified Skilled Worker No. 2, foreign personnel will be able to work in Japan for a long time, while at the same time will be able to acquire Japanese language ability and work skills. We need it now more than ever.
With the new system drastically changing the environment for accepting foreign human resources, it is essential to introduce Japanese language education in order to become a registered support
organization that is chosen by accepting companies and specified skilled workers. In this seminar, we will introduce the role of registration support organizations in the new system and the effects and examples of introducing Japanese language education to those in charge of registration support organizations.
