Local Touring Co., Ltd.
CBTR official mascot bike is here! We are now open to the public for bike names! “SuperCUB110” has been chosen as CBTR’s official mascot bike! We will be soliciting names for the mascot bike from the public.
……
For the bike touring event CBTR2024 (organized by CBTR2024 Executive Committee, managed by Gochichi Touring Co., Ltd.), where you collect digital stamps while riding a bike around Lake Biwa in Shiga Prefecture, we will introduce the charm of Shiga and Lake Biwa on SNS. The official mascot bike has arrived. It has been decided that a public call for names for the mascot bike will be held.
The official mascot bike has appeared at CBTR2024, a bike touring event where you collect digital stamps while riding a bike around Lake Biwa in Shiga Prefecture (sponsored by CBTR2024 Executive Committee, managed by Gochi Touring Co., Ltd.).
The official mascot bike will be disseminating information on touring spots around Lake Biwa mainly on SNS (instagram).
This is an information dissemination project that even riders who are touring Lake Biwa for the first time can enjoy.
Mr. Takuya, a member of the CBTR2024 Executive Committee, will serve as the project leader for this project.
Takuya participated in last year’s CBTR2023 as a general rider. In order to plan the CBTR2024 event together, we are recruiting executive committee members from the participating riders of CBTR2023. I am one of about 20 volunteers who gathered.

The model is SuperCUB110, and the bike is based on the CBTR color. Spot information and touring information around Lake Biwa in preparation for CBTR2024
We will send out useful information from a rider’s perspective on Instagram. ■Thoughts on mascot bikes
CBTR has been held since 2022 with the aim of promoting tourism through touring. Last year, with the support of Shiga Prefecture, Hikone City, the Hikone Tourism Association, and the Hikone Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we had approximately 40 tourist facilities, restaurants, accommodations, etc., mainly around Lake Biwa, participate.
This year, we will use the mascot bike to disseminate information about stores around Lake Biwa.
We hope that participants will actually visit Lake Biwa when they visit. We also believe that providing real information will help participants who want to tour in a planned manner.
■We are looking for motorcycle names from the public.
From now on, as the official mascot bike, we hope to become a bike that will be loved by everyone.
We are now inviting the public to submit a name for the bike. Successful candidates will be announced on CBTR’s official SNS. ▼Click here for how to apply

■What is CBTR2024?
This is a sightseeing touring rally that has been held since 2022 where you collect digital stamps while riding a motorcycle around Lake Biwa. Visitors can stop at “spots” set around Lake Biwa and enjoy sightseeing while collecting stamps. Those who have collected all the stamps will be awarded a “Certificate for completing one lap of Lake Biwa.”
While the tourism industry, centered on restaurants, has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic, the event was planned and implemented mainly by the owners of local Japanese restaurants in order to attract as many people as possible to Shiga Prefecture and Hikone City. Motorcycle touring, which involves less contact with people, is attracting attention as a new tourism style during the coronavirus pandemic, and 1,200 riders participated in the first CBTR2022, despite the preparation period being only one and a half months. The following year’s CBTR2023 received entries from approximately 4,500 riders, nearly four times as many.
CBTR2024 also received approximately 3,000 entries in the first month of entry, and we expect approximately 7,000 participants to
participate during the period.
