[Building a new regional contribution model ~Supporting the local community through corporate hometown tax payments~]
*Sugukuru Co., Ltd. builds a scheme to return a portion of local sales as a corporate version of hometown tax*
Sugukuru Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sakai City, Fukui Prefecture, Representative Director: Masayuki Adachi) develops and provides driving agency reservation apps and municipal ride sharing apps. In order to further deepen our contribution to local communities, our company (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) is launching a new local contribution model that utilizes the corporate version of hometown tax payments. We partner with local governments across the country and contribute to regional revitalization through this model.

Sugukuru’s unique corporate hometown tax payment scheme
Sugukuru, a driving agency reservation app provided by our company, is a platform that connects local residents with local driving agency companies. We receive 10% of the sales generated by driving agency companies through the app as platform usage fees from driving agency companies.
In this new initiative, 2% of the 10% of platform usage fees will be returned to the local government in the relevant area as a corporate hometown tax. It is expected that this system will generate the funds necessary for regional development, which will be invested in regional development projects carried out by local governments, childcare support, system development, etc. As a result, we aim to create a system in which a portion of the usage fees paid by local residents will be returned to local residents through Sugukuru and the local government.

In addition, Sugukuru is currently releasing the municipal
ride-sharing app “Sharekuru” for ride sharing that utilizes Article 78, Item 2 of the Road Transportation Act. We also plan to return a portion of the fees for this ride-sharing service to local governments using the same scheme.

Through this press release, Sugukuru Co., Ltd. will deepen its collaboration with local communities and promote sustainable economic growth together. We appreciate your understanding and support. About Sugukuru Co., Ltd.
