Tako Town, Katori District, Chiba Prefecture (Mayor: Tomiko Hirayama; hereinafter referred to as “Tako Town”) will hold the “4th Tako Rice Side Dishes Championship”, a recipe contest to collect side dishes that go well with Tako rice and determine the best creations. This is the 4th year, and cooking expert Ryuji has been appointed as the special ambassador.
The winner of the grand prize or excellent work will receive luxurious prizes such as a lodging ticket to Omikawa-tei, an old Japanese-style inn in Tako Town, which will be the setting for the final competition, and the recipe will be commercialized as an original Tako Town brand. Masu.
The works that passed the first and second rounds will be judged by 100 general judges at the final competition to be held on Saturday, November 9th and Sunday, November 10th, 2024 at Omikawa-tei, an old Japanese-style inn in Tako Town. It was first held in 2021 and will be held for the fourth time this year. Among the recipes submitted by the general public, 10 recipes that passed the first and second screening will advance to the final competition.
The best work will be decided after a tasting review by 100 general judges and related parties.
The best and outstanding works are scheduled to be commercialized as Tako Town’s original brand.
