[Tokubai Survey] “Advance reservation” for eel is the key word for the 2024 Doyo no Ushi Day! 1 in 5 people planning to eat eel take advantage of advance reservation discounts, companies help prevent food waste
~More than 80% of companies considering food loss countermeasures are considering “implementing/recommending advance reservations”~ ……
Loco Guide Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Loco Guide”), which operates the flyer and shopping information service “Tokubai” within the Kufu Company Group, has 1,171 “Tokubai” users and 55 companies that have introduced “Tokubai” including supermarkets nationwide. We conducted a survey on the “Doyo no Ushi no Hi dining table.” In 2024, there will be two summer Doyo no Ox events, on July 24th (Wednesday) and August 5th (Monday). As a result of the survey, more than 40% of Tokubai users answered that they plan to eat eel on Doyo no Ushi no Hi. Even though the price of eel has remained high in recent years, it seems that people are still trying to enjoy eel by paying particular attention to taste and production area, taking advantage of advance reservation discounts, and finding ways to enjoy eel that are satisfying even with a small amount.
Additionally, more than 60% of companies, including supermarkets, are considering implementing food loss countermeasures on the Doyo no Ushi Day, and more than 80% of these companies are considering
“implementing/recommending advance reservations.” I understand. *Fisheries Agency: Current status and challenges for the next growth of the eel industry
