The Faculty of Information Design (tentative name, applying for establishment approval) is holding an “online open career course” taught by senior members of society who are currently active overseas (planned and operated by Lighthouse).
This is a course where we will share the experiences and ideas of our seniors, giving you an opportunity to think about how to carve out your own career in the rapidly changing world of the future. For the third session, we will invite Mr. Masayuki Onishi, a consultant who utilizes AI and advanced technology, as a lecturer. In the early 1990s, when the Internet era arrived, Mr. Onishi realized that data communication technology would become important in the future, so he changed his career from a software developer to a communications engineer. After working at Cisco Systems in Japan, he was transferred to the American headquarters in his late 30s, and after steadily advancing his career while overcoming language and cultural barriers, he took an active role at Microsoft’s American headquarters. He will talk about his career in the IT field, providing technical support for the globalization of international companies, his experiences, and how he interacts with the ever-evolving IT. Participation is free, and those who wish to participate should apply from the official website or LINE.
