■Research to elucidate the mechanism by which immune function is strengthened by ingesting immune protein (I’m P26)
In general, moderate exercise is considered effective in increasing immune function and preventing infections. However, strenuous exercise and training can conversely weaken immune function and cause a systemic inflammatory response, leading to decreased immunity and organ damage.

Based on this, the research team to which Assistant Professor Hajime Tanabe belongs is aiming to maintain medium- to long-term health of athletes.
We are researching the effects of ingesting P26).

According to a presentation at the Japanese Society of Physical Fitness Medicine held in September 2023, immune protein (I.M. It was confirmed that intake of P26) increased the concentration of s-IgA (secretory immunoglobulin A) in saliva. s-IgA has the role of protecting the body by preventing pathogenic bacteria and viruses that cause infections from entering the body and neutralizing toxins produced by pathogenic bacteria. In this study, immune proteins (i.e. The results showed that P26) is effective in suppressing immune decline.

Furthermore, in a study presented at the Japan Academy of Sports Dentistry held in November 2023, female badminton players were tested on immune protein
P26) was taken for 8 weeks and its effects were analyzed. As a result, it was confirmed that the s-IgA concentration in saliva and the acetic acid concentration in the intestine correlated with each other and increased.

These research results show that immune proteins (i.e.
P26) has been shown to play an important role in strengthening athletes’ immune function and maintaining their health even in harsh training environments. It is expected that a more detailed mechanism will be elucidated in the future.
