In recent years, due to the rise in environmental protection and health consciousness, an increasing number of people both in Japan and abroad are preferring a vegan style that does not consume animal ingredients, and vegan foods are attracting attention. With 80% of our customers coming from over 100 countries, we wanted to meet the needs for vegan products that can be taken out as well as at our in-house restaurants, so Chef Pastry Chef Toshinobu Akiyama has developed this restaurant.
We have created vegan sweets that are both safe and delicious by carefully selecting ingredients, such as using mineral-rich “subaki sugar” instead of refined sugar such as granulated sugar.

Newly released fruit tart “Tart O”
“Fruy” is a tart dough that uses soy milk or soybeans instead of butter or dairy products, and is squeezed with soy-derived soy whipped cream. The crispy texture of the dough and the gentle sweetness of soybeans bring out the sweetness and sourness of the fruit. Since March of this year, we have also been offering this service at the exclusive Premier Grand Club Lounge on the 45th floor of the main building, and it has been well received by our customers.

“Verrine Fruit” is a mellow and rich blend of coconut milk and soy milk. A pudding is layered with fluffy cream made from soybeans and coconut oil. The sweet and sour puree of banana, pineapple, and mango makes this a summery and refreshing sweet.

In the future, Keio Plaza Hotel will continue to strive to develop services and products that suit a variety of lifestyles, with the aim of creating a plaza where guests from all over the world can gather and relax (the Plaza Philosophy).
