PUMA Japan Co., Ltd. (head office location: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo) is proud to announce the release of PUMA’s signature soccer spike models, “KING ULTIMATE” and “ULTRA 5 ULTIMATE,” which have supported the world’s top players for half a century. “FORMULA PACK” including color updated models of “Ultra 5 Ultimate” and “FUTURE 7 ULTIMATE” will be released from July 18, 2024 (Thursday).

“KING ULTIMATE”, which has newly updated functions, uses non-animal K-BETTER(TM) upper material. This material is a non-woven base made of intertwined fibers, close to the structure of natural leather, and has a high fit and strength. It has the same softness as the conventional KING, but it is characterized by a fit that does not easily collapse during a match. The surface treatment prevents water intrusion, provides a consistent fit while remaining lightweight, and supports ball control.
Furthermore, in order to enhance ball control, the upper inside surface is equipped with a GRIPCONTROL 3D structure with 3D uneven processing and PU printing for ball grip. In addition, the soft heel pad made from Ortholite(R)︎ provides comfort and a good fit, making it less tiring even when playing for long periods of time. The
lightweight outsole is constructed from Pebax nylon and PU, with rounded studs that provide superior grip for a variety of movements and improve mobility. In addition, the shank placed in the midfoot suppresses twisting and minimizes force dispersion.

1. K-BETTER(TM):
A non-animal upper material based on non-woven fabric made of intertwined fibers. Close to the structure of natural leather, it provides a high fit, unprecedented strength, and ball control. While it has the same softness as traditional kangaroo leather, it is lightweight by applying a treatment to the surface that makes it difficult to absorb water.
2. GRIP CONTROL 3D
In order to improve ball control, the inside upper has a 3D textured surface and PU print for ball grip.
3.Orthlite Heel pad
Adopts a soft heel pad using Ortholite(R)︎, which provides a comfortable and high fitting. Uses low-resilience foam to provide a hugging feel.
4. LIGHTWEIGHT OUTSOLE
