The Japan Society of Aesthetic Medicine was held. A total of 39 doctors from all over Japan participated, giving lectures,
presentations, and performing live surgeries. Effective June 26, 2024 (Wednesday), the name of the corporation will be changed from “Japan Cosmetic Surgery Techniques Research Association, General Incorporated Association” to “Japan Society of Aesthetic Medicine, General Incorporated Association,” and the cosmetics business will expand into the field of dermatology. We will continue to contribute to the development of medical care in general.

The Japan Aesthetic Medical Society (hereinafter referred to as JAPSA) will hold the “16th Annual Meeting” on Friday, July 5, 2024 in Kita-ku, Osaka City.
A total of 39 doctors from all over Japan participated in the Japan Society of Aesthetic Medicine. In addition, effective June 26, 2024 (Wednesday), the name of the corporation has been changed from “Japan Cosmetic Surgery Techniques Study Group, General Incorporated Association” to “Japan Society of Aesthetic Medicine, General Incorporated Association.” As the demand for non-surgical treatments centered on skin beautification-related treatments increases, we are improving technology in general aesthetic medicine, including the field of dermatology, so that patients across the country who wish to become more beautiful can receive appropriate treatment. This conference, which was held for the first time after the name change, was held in two parts: a classroom lecture and a live surgery session.
In addition to Professor Fumiaki Shimizu’s lecture “About toenail treatment,” various findings and surgical techniques based on his experience in the field were presented. In addition, participants actively exchanged information on a wide range of specialized knowledge in aesthetic medicine, including serious complications with hyaluronic acid injections and sagging eye formation using the burial method.
In the field of dermatology, he explained the “microsubcision” procedure, which uses a thin medical needle to inject carbon dioxide gas and drugs into the fused dermis and subcutaneous tissue. It is a treatment method that takes a short treatment time and is expected to be effective in improving acne scars, wrinkles, pores, and skin quality. We will actively share information regarding treatments in the dermatology field so that we can better respond to patients’ skin concerns.
Live surgery
The live surgery was conducted by connecting the operating room to the monitor and audio at the conference venue so that the participants could check the details of the procedure and ask any questions they had. While viewing surgeries such as buccal fat removal, nasal tip formation, and sagging eye formation in real time, Representative Director Teranishi and others explained in detail the key points of the surgery and points to be careful of.
