Toyoizumi Family Group (SF Toyoizumi Family Foundation)
The 6th Toyoizumi Outdoor Field “HCC Challenged Awajishima Marine Program” will be held again this year!
Even if you have a disability, you can try various things! Supporting new challenges for challenged people (those with handicaps)! ……
“Toyoizumi Outdoor Field” is a project that allows people who require nursing care to fully enjoy various outdoor activities and experiences that they had previously given up on.
[What is “Challenged”] It means people who have been given a destiny by God to take on challenges, and the Toyoizumi family is working to refer to people with handicaps as “Challenged” instead of “Disabled”. I am doing. It is based on the idea of “The Challenged,” which is used as a name for people with handicaps in Europe and the United States. Together with “Challenged,” we create a “socially inclusive society.” Masu.
[Challenged Project] In the Challenged Project, we visit The Center For Discovery, which is operated in New York State, U.S.A., and create an assessment and individual support plan that we independently developed based on what we learned locally. We will support you to take steps toward your dreams and goals. In addition, the Fukusho Fukushikai refers to the challenged people who use our services as partners, and aims to grow together with them.
About the 6th Toyoizumi Outdoor Field
In 2022, Toyoizumiya started the “Toyoizumiya Outdoor Field” as part of its Challenged Project.
We have held the “HCC Challenged Minoo Otaki Hiking”, the “HCC Challenged Mt. Rokko Snow Program”, and the “HCC Challenged Awaji Island Marine Program”, and have received many positive comments from participants.

Enjoy swimming and marine sports on Awaji Island in the summer and experience the blue sky and sea.
The Toyoizumi family’s thoughts ~ Heartfelt emotion and smiles ~ We respect the independence of each person with special needs, support their independence with support methods tailored to each person, and ensure that all challenged people live happily and with smiles and that we do everything possible. “Toyoizumi Outdoor Field” was started with the hope that people can spend their time without giving up on their sexuality.
In last year’s “HCC Challenged Awaji Island Marine Program”
At the “HCC Challenged Awaji Island Marine Program” held for the first time last year, we took a bus to Ohama Beach on Awaji Island and experienced “SUP” as the main event.
*SUP: Abbreviation for stand-up paddle board. An activity where you stand on a board and use a paddle to move across the water.
[Image 2: https://prtimes.jp/i/88706/197/resize/d88706-197-86e8adb81b4e02c1378b-14.jpg&s3=88706-197-8831f083cc72407815f6453c1acef0f2-3520×1986.jpg] Those in wheelchairs were also able to switch to amphibious outdoor wheelchairs and ride on the SUP. We started off by wearing life jackets and slowly getting used to the water.

After the experience, everyone came up with ideas for what they wanted to do next, what they wanted to do next, and their desire to enjoy new challenges seemed to have increased.

We enjoyed the colorful mountain trees and the beautiful yet powerful waterfalls. In the middle of nature, the beautiful scene of colored fallen leaves swaying in the wind and illuminated by the sun’s rays caused people to exclaim, “This is really amazing” and “It’s beautiful.” Together with my friends, I was able to experience an impression that I couldn’t get indoors. I was able to share it.

In “HCC Challenged Mt. Rokko Snow Program”
[Image 7: https://prtimes.jp/i/88706/197/resize/d88706-197-3be3030a606acfed3f0f-2.jpg&s3=88706-197-cc141a734211637535b0bfb9a58fb93e-2664×2220.jpg] In January 2023 and February 2024, the “HCC Challenged Rokko Mountain Snow Program” will be held at the Rokko Mountain Snow Park as Toyoizumi Outdoor Field. Despite the sudden cold wave, they took every precaution to play in the snow, with an ambulance and a nurse accompanying them just in case.
From the members of Miura Dolphins Co., Ltd., led by Gota Miura, we have prepared 2 dual skis and 2 Hippo mountain wheelchairs for safety. We thoroughly enjoyed playing in the snow.
In the main event, dual skiing, participants looked anxious at first, but after they finished skiing, they were all smiles and said, “It was fun!” “I want to ski again soon!” “I want to come again!” There were voices filled with excitement.
*Dual skis: Skis that combine a chair with a backrest and skis, and are operated by a pilot from behind, allowing you to ski while sitting.
