Building a “Resource Recycling Scheme for Plastic Film” in
collaboration with Aichi Prefecture, Chubu Centrair International Airport (Centrair), All Nippon Airways (ANA), etc.
In collaboration with Aichi Prefecture, Chubu Centrair International Airport (Centrair), All Nippon Airways (ANA), and others, we have built a “resource circulation scheme” that eliminates plastic waste.
Background of the Aichi Circular Economy Promotion Project* :*
Based on the “Aichi Circular Economy Promotion Plan” (formulated by Aichi Prefecture in March 2022), this project promotes the conversion of mixed plastics and other recycled raw materials that are difficult to recycle as product raw materials, with the aim of realizing a plastic recycling model. was established with the purpose of
The “Aichi Circular Economy Promotion Plan” is a 10-year plan period from FY2022 to FY2031 that aims to advance circular business by converting to a circular economy. In order to materialize the six promotion models listed in this plan, such as plastics and solar panels, seven Aichi Circular Economy Promotion Project Teams were launched on January 31, 2023, and this project is called the “Plastic Recycling Project Team”. This will be an initiative.
Currently, 68 businesses (90 businesses in total) are participating and seven project teams (hereinafter referred to as PTs) are working towards commercialization, and Daiwa Enelf Co., Ltd. is in PT1. (Plastic Circulation PT). I am participating.
Scheme overview:
Stretch film from All Nippon Airways (ANA) is recycled at a recycler into garbage bags for use at Centrair. Under this scheme, Daiwa Enelf Co., Ltd. is responsible for collection and transportation.

1. ANA removed and recovered the plastic film used to package the cargo. 2. Daiwa Enelf Co., Ltd. collects from ANA at the airport and transports it to Sanyo Chemical Co., Ltd.
3. Sanyo Chemical Co., Ltd. collects compressed plastic film and recycles it into pellets.
4. Aichi Plastic Co., Ltd. recycles garbage bags.
5. Centrair buys garbage bags. Installed in the trash can inside the terminal building.
As a result, approximately 20 tons of plastic waste will not be disposed of annually, and some of it will be recycled within the airport.

In the future, we will continue to use recycled plastic as raw material, aim to further contribute to a recycling-oriented society, and strive to contribute to the further development of the local economy.
