Suntory Hall will hold “Organ ZANMAI at Suntory Hall!” on August 12th (Monday, holiday). The organ, which stands in front of the main hall and serves as the face of Suntory Hall, is one of the largest in the world, with 74 stops that use different tones and a total of 5,898 pipes. The organ has evolved into a complex system over the course of history, and is now known as the “king of musical instruments,” as it has so many tones that it is said to rival an orchestra.
