In order to realize our group’s purpose of “creating experiences for a new era,” Kenichi Muratsu (Representative Director and President) has started offering EventGX, a tool for visualizing event CO2 emissions that incorporates our unique know-how in event production. Masu.

Our group helps realize a sustainable society by providing event production that takes into account the environmental impact of events hosted by companies, local governments, and organizations where many people and goods move and many resources are consumed. We would like to contribute to this. In order to do so, in February 2023, we will inspect the process of event production at each phase of venue selection, movement/transportation, construction/decoration, management/procurement, catering, and disposal/disposal to take optimal actions to reduce environmental impact. We have formulated “Sustainable Event Guidelines (*1)”.

On the other hand, in order to propose and implement optimal actions and solutions to reduce the environmental impact of events, it is necessary to understand the CO2 emissions of events. “EventGX”, which we have recently started offering, allows you to calculate the CO2 emissions of an event before the event is held.

By calculating and understanding CO2 emissions at the planning stage of an event, it becomes possible to rebuild a plan that incorporates the “Sustainable Event Guidelines.” We will also work to calculate the event CO2 emissions after the event and report it to the client.

This EventGX is an event developed by incorporating our group’s unique know-how in event production into ScopeX (*2), a CO2 emissions visualization service provided by TBM, which is involved in the development of environmentally friendly materials and resource recycling businesses. It is a dedicated calculation tool and will be operated based on its own rules.

The emission intensity used this time is based on the GHG Protocol (*4) and the latest Emission Intensity Database for Accounting for Organizational Greenhouse Gas Emissions Through the Supply Chain (Ver. 3.4) developed by the Ministry of the Environment. It was built based on multiple reliable standards (*3), including “, ensuring high consistency and reliability. Furthermore, we regularly review and update the emissions intensity and provide clients with the results of calculating CO2 emissions using the latest figures as a report. * ■Features of event CO2 emissions visualization tool “EventGX” *

This is a cloud tool that can calculate and report CO2 emissions from the event planning stage to after the event, within the scope of event CO2 emissions calculation.
* [Feature 1] Supports calculation of CO2 emissions from various events* We can accommodate a variety of events such as street events, pop-up shops, press conferences, conferences, and exhibitions.

* [Feature 2] Provides event CO2 emissions report*

By linking the event’s CO2 emission items to each basic unit and creating a unique calculation flow online, we have significantly reduced the burden of calculation. Easily report CO2 emissions for each event.

* [Feature 3] Providing advance prediction of event CO2 emissions and action solutions to reduce environmental impact*
It is possible to calculate expected CO2 emissions even at the event planning stage.
Additionally, based on our group’s “Sustainable Event Guidelines,” we can provide actions and solutions that optimally reduce environmental impact.
