* ■About “Recycled Carpet Certification” and certified products*
The “Recycled Carpet Certification” system establishes quality standards for recycled carpet tiles, and certification began on July 1 as a mechanism to certify products that meet the conditions. Since the announcement, we have received applications for products that would like to be certified from member companies, etc., and we have confirmed the certification criteria one by one. As a result, as of August 1st, a total of 584 items with 94 patterns have been certified from Kawashima Textile Cercon Co., Ltd., Sangetsu Co., Ltd., and Suminoe Co., Ltd. We certify carpet tiles that meet four conditions, including stipulating the use of recycled materials, using separated raw materials for each material, and continuously preventing green washing. We will contribute to the creation of a sustainable society by recycling carpet tiles that meet the conditions in the optimal way. -Certification standards-
1. Contains at least 25% PCR material derived from tile carpets. 2. CFP must be clearly marked on the product.

* ■Determination of three external members of the “Green Check Committee”*
External members have been appointed for the Green Check Committee, which will be established in response to greenwashing, which has recently become a problem on a global level. The Green Check Committee verifies the consistency of data such as the production volume of products that have obtained recycled carpet certification, the purchase volume of separated recycled raw materials, the production volume of recycled raw materials, and the volume of used carpet tiles collected. We guarantee eligibility. In addition, we plan to conduct green checks based on the knowledge of external committee members.

About surpassing 500 items and future prospects
This time, despite the short period of about one month since the announcement, we received many applications for the certification system from member companies, and so far we have certified a total of 94 patterns and 584 items. We believe that this result is the result of each member company agreeing with the purpose of the association, and the members’ understanding and support of the association. In the past, carpet tiles were treated as a type of industrial waste that was difficult to recycle, but over the past 20 years, they have changed significantly as a product that can be recycled horizontally. Additionally, with an increase in the number of companies promoting sustainability, the recycling of carpet tiles has also attracted attention.
In the future, we would like to invite users who specifically use recycled carpet tiles to join, and increase the number of people who support this activity.
We have also started a Green Check Committee and will be conducting greenwash checks for the first time as an association. Although this is an unprecedented green check, we will conduct a thorough check and ensure the fairness and fairness of the association with the expert guidance of external committee members who are leading experts in various fields. .
Furthermore, as our association has recently been featured in the top article in the world’s largest industry media, and we are attracting increasing attention from overseas, we are looking to expand our association’s business by considering collaboration with other countries. Yes.
