Pack the charm of Shirahama into a capsule! Shirahama Gacha, a one-of-a-kind capsule toy filled with the dreams and creativity of local junior high school students, will go on sale from Saturday, August 10, 2024.
*The first local gacha of the Shirahama Connect Project, a local community collaboration between industry, academia, and government, has been completed*

Adventure World (Shirahama Town, Wakayama Prefecture) is participating in the local community “Shirahama Connect Project” aimed at
sustainable town development, and the local capsule toy “Shirahama Gacha”, which we have provided production support for, will be released on August 10, 2024. Sales will start from Sunday (Saturday). “Shirahama Gacha” is a capsule toy filled with the charm of Shirahama town and the love of junior high school students, such as “I want many people to know about the charm of the area” and “I want to connect with various people through Shirahama Gacha” . A portion of the proceeds from “Shirahama Gacha” will be used for community development events planned by students. Industry, academia, and government will collaborate to develop capsule toys that are popular with a wide range of age groups, and will practice “education x town development” with students who will be responsible for the future of Shirahama Town. *

In order to make it a memorable product for people who visited Shirahama, second-year students at Shirahama Junior High School spent about three months creating “Shirahama Gacha” in a comprehensive study class through a workshop, and it was finally commercialized. At the completion event held on August 5th (Monday), the students looked proud as they held the completed product in their hands.

・Can I do this at first? I was worried about this, but once I got going, it went by in a blink of an eye, and I was able to experience a lot of things, and it was a great and fun experience.
・While considering the SDGs, we worked hard to ensure that there was no impact on nature, such as by choosing materials.
・We worked on this project while thinking about how to help tourists learn about the greatness of Shirahama.
