Symposium details
Welfare workers who work with children (persons) with severe mental and physical disabilities and children under medical care, as well as families of children with severe mental and physical disabilities who use welfare, will take to the stage to share the current state of local welfare from their respective perspectives and deepen their understanding of the actual situation.
We view community welfare from both the perspectives of those providing welfare services and those using them, and share knowledge to improve welfare in the future. In addition, we will explore how occupations and businesses related to local welfare such as home-visit nursing care, consultation support, and day care facilities can work together to build better local welfare, and increase the number of businesses that are better for users in the region. We will discuss, including crosstalk, how we should work to achieve this goal.

About EPO, a specified non-profit organization
In 2016, EPO, a specified non-profit organization, established Kokone, a day-care facility for children with severe mental and physical disabilities, in Tokyo*.
We currently operate three child development support offices and one after-school day service in Tokyo.
Utilizing our experience in supporting children with severe mental and physical disabilities and their families living in the community, we will launch an online community [COCOLON] starting December 2023* is operated.
We will continue to create an environment where children with disabilities, their families, and siblings can live safely and comfortably, where it is easy to raise children, and where they can participate in fun activities.
