Comments from National Land Development Consultant Co., Ltd. On January 1, 2024, the Noto Peninsula Earthquake occurred, which no one expected, and caused tremendous damage.
In Miyazaki Prefecture, a large-scale earthquake such as the Nankai Trough earthquake or the Hyuga-nada earthquake could occur at any time. In addition, heavy rain disasters such as typhoons, torrential rains, river flooding due to linear rain bands, and landslides occur frequently.
We hope that this donation will be used to develop the Miyakonojo Sports Park, which also functions as a disaster prevention facility, and that it will be useful not only for regional disaster prevention, but also for the promotion of sports for citizens.
[Reference] What is the corporate version of hometown tax?
The corporate hometown tax donation system is a system that allows companies to receive a tax deduction from corporate-related taxes when they make a donation to a regional revitalization project run by a local government certified by the national government.
In FY2020, a major review of the system was carried out to further enhance and strengthen regional revitalization. This, together with the reduction effect (30% of the donation amount) due to deductible expenses, will reduce the donation amount by up to approximately 90%. For example, if you donate 10 million yen, your corporate tax will be reduced by up to 9 million yen.
