“This is a story about a spoiled sea otter cub called “Dakko-chan”, his friends, and his family.
There will be a lot of sea otters and other marine friends, so I’d be happy if people look forward to that as well. I hope to draw stories that are cute and will make you laugh.

* ◆ I heard that it’s been a while since you created a new character, but what are your thoughts on creating this new series, “Dakko-chan the Sea Otter”? *

“It’s really exciting to come up with a new story with new
characters! Also, this is the first time for me that sea creatures are the main characters, so it’s fresh and fun. Above all, it’s my first time working with Ehon Navi. So I’m excited to see how it will develop.”

“I’ve always loved sea otters, and I used to draw pictures.One day, I found a nostalgic illustrated encyclopedia of sea otters at my parents’ house, and when I was reading it, I saw all kinds of really cute ecology of sea otters, and it just kept getting fluffy in my head. I came up with an idea and created a character, and I think that’s one of the highlights of the story, which will include the cute ecology of sea otters.Also, I already have an idea for a picture book, so I hope to turn that into a picture book someday. That’s what I think.
