About the group brand “Kabe no Hole”
Founded in 1953 as “Hole in the wall” in Tamuracho, Tokyo (now Nishi-Shinbashi) by Takayasu Narimatsu, who is known as the
“originator of Japanese-style spaghetti.” Then, in 1963, it moved to Shibuya. The store name has also been changed to “Hole in the Wall”. He has also devised over 200 types of spaghetti, including shimeji spaghetti and shiitake mushroom spaghetti, as well as Japanese-style spaghetti by adding kelp powder as a secret ingredient to spaghetti. Among them, “Cod roe spaghetti”, which was inspired by the caviar that customers brought with them, became a hit menu, and the topping we devised became a top-ranked ingredient in the spaghetti world. Then, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of its founding last year, it was upgraded and reborn as the “excellent” original cod roe spaghetti. We will continue to listen to the opinions of our customers, work every day to develop menus that will please them, and hope that our customers will also be able to work with us as menu producers.
