“Kuni of Clear Streams Gifu” Cultural Festival 2024 PR event in Nihonbashi, Tokyo! A talk show/stage marche promoting Gifu’s food, culture, and tourism will be held at Coredo Muromachi Terrace on Saturday, August 17th.

For 42 days from October 14th (Monday/holiday) to November 24th (Sunday) of this year, Gifu Prefecture will hold the largest cultural festival in Japan, “Kuni of Seiryu Gifu” Cultural Festival 2024 (39th National Cultural Festival) The 24th National Art and Cultural Festival for People with Disabilities will be held, and more than 300 cultural events will be held in all 42 municipalities in Gifu Prefecture.
As a PR event for this event, we will be holding an event called “Gifu, the land of clear streams” in Tokyo ~ Autumn is perfect at Gifu ~ on August 17th (Saturday) at Coredo Muromachi Terrace in Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. We will build momentum for the cultural festival.

A talk show to convey the charms of Gifu to Tokyo by actor Keiko Takeshita and prosthetic-legged dancer Hikaruichi Omae, who are also active as ambassadors for the “Land of Clear Streams Gifu” Cultural Festival 2024, a dance performance by Mr. Omae, and UNESCO There will be a stage where you can learn about, enjoy, and experience Gifu, including a corner for “Gujo Odori,” which is one of the “furyu dances” that have been registered as an intangible cultural heritage. Anyone can participate, no pre-registration required and free admission.
In addition, there will be a marche and kitchen car selling local gourmet food and folk crafts such as Hida Beef, one of the nation’s leading brands of Japanese beef, Tori-chan, the soul food of Gifu prefecture, and Craft Cola, which inherits Gifu’s herbal culture. We will be holding a Gifu Marche. We will be quick to promote the world-recognized Gifu brand and the appeal of local resources in Tokyo.

A talk show will be held between actor Keiko Takeshita and
prosthetic-legged dancer Mitsuichi Omae, who will be supporting ambassadors for the 2024 “Kuni of Clear Waters Gifu” Cultural Festival. Visitors will be able to experience the charm of Gifu. In addition to projecting the top 10 rankings of Gifu Prefecture’s tourist spots, natural landscapes, and specialty products on a large screen at the venue, we will also provide a talk that will fully convey the splendor and richness of Gifu Prefecture.

[Stage show]
The opening act will be a dance performance by Mr. Ohmae, who pursues his own style of dancing. Minamo, the mascot character of Gifu, the land of clear waters, will also appear in the dance show.
Everyone at the venue will dance Gujo Odori, a traditional Bon dance that has been passed down in Gujo Hachiman, Gifu Prefecture, for over 400 years, with a lecture from the Machida Harukoma-kai.
The Tokyo Choral Association will perform “What You Call Tomorrow” (lyrics: Goro Matsui, music: Kan Sawada), which is the theme song for the “Kuni of Seiryu no Gifu” Cultural Festival 2024.

There are many marches selling specialty products and products where you can enjoy Gifu Prefecture’s craftsmanship and gourmet food. There will also be a booth introducing the “Kuni of Clear Streams Gifu” Cultural Festival 2024 and sales of Minamo-tai goods. Exhibitor Hida Beef “Yamayu Beef Consistent” We are particular about the pedigree of Hida Beef and manage everything from breeding to shipping. This is the second time that Gifu Prefecture has held both the National Cultural Festival, the first time in 25 years since 1999, and the first time in 22 years since 2002.
