Starting in 2022, the Swiss sports brand “On” will support the event’s operations by providing original T-shirts to participants as the official wear partner of the “Hokkaido Marathon.” This year’s participation award T-shirt is based on the brand message of this event, “This heat is the energy to run.” The back design was created by Swiss graphic designer Sebastian Fehr. The message is expressed in a timeless design that can be used not only for running, but also for lifestyle, and for the runners who provided it to wear it for a long time.
In addition, the body of the T-shirt is made from recycled polyester resin, which is made by chemically recycling some of the unnecessary running wear collected from last year’s runners using JEPLAN’s proprietary technology, which is part of the circular ecosystem traceability system. By adopting “Open HIVE by BRING”, you can see where the clothes used as raw materials for the participation award T-shirts were collected, recycled and manufactured by reading the QR code attached to the neck. . This year as well, we will set up a collection point for sportswear during the race, where we will collect sportswear not only from runners but also from visitors who visit our booths. The front of the T-shirt reads, “THIS T-SHIRT IS MADE TO BE RECYCLED. LIKE A GOOD RUN POWERS THE NEXT GREAT RUN,” ” is printed on it, and we plan to work on recycling clothing resources with the cooperation of runners and visitors next year.
In the future, the JEPLAN Group will continue to collaborate with domestic and international partners to realize our vision of “recycling everything” and will work as a group to drive the circular economy.

The Hokkaido Marathon is held in midsummer, and although the climate is relatively cool, it is a “hot” full marathon. This event attracts approximately 20,000 runners from not only Hokkaido but also all over the country. Mr. Fair’s design is based on the image of the enthusiasm of each runner who takes on the challenge under this harsh environment and the “hot” feelings hidden in their hearts that become the energy of the runners who never give up until the end. . The combination of many energetic runners completing the distance of 42.195km at their own pace and rhythm creates a powerful visual, with the message “FEEL THE HEAT” placed in the center. I am.
Furthermore, by wearing this T-shirt after the tournament, On’s wish is for everyone to remember their “passionate” feelings and be proud of themselves for taking on the challenge.
