About Upcycle Festival 2024
Upcycle Festival 2024 (hereinafter referred to as Apu Festival 2024) is an upcycling festival that delivers the message of “cherishing” rather than “not making” or “not buying”.
In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Kawasaki City’s incorporation, this event was born from the desire to “upcycle the image of reuse and recycling through entertainment” in order to create a better future for Kawasaki City, and will be held on August 17, 2024. The event will be held at the Kawasaki City Convention Hall (Musashikosugi) for two days: (Sat) and 18th (Sun).
On the day of the event, there will be a fashion show with an upcycling theme, a stage performance by artists and characters connected to Kawasaki, and miscellaneous goods sales and workshops related to the SDGs. It’s a family-friendly event with plenty of ideas for you to bring along.
Exclusive distribution of all stage performances on Metaverse Fashion shows and hero shows held on special stages at real venues, live stages by artists with ties to Kawasaki, and performances by characters can be found on the “bless4” website.
WORLD* will be broadcast live on the huge 3-sided screen at the live venue.
We will provide a place for people who are unable to go to the venue due to inconveniences, those who live far away, and anyone who is interested in upcycling, recycling, and environmental issues to have fun and experience sustainability.
