Fuji Motosu Lake Resort “Rainbow Flower Festival” starts on Saturday, August 31st, a flower garden on a cool plateau at the foot of Mt. Fuji, approximately 1,000m above sea level
*A complete change from pink in spring to colorful rainbow colors in autumn* *Last year’s situation
At Fuji Motosuko Resort (Minamitsuru District, Yamanashi Prefecture), which is the venue for the Fuji Shibazakura Festival, a spring tradition of Mt. Fuji, the Rainbow Flower Festival, where you can enjoy about 80,000 colorful flowers, will be held on August 31, 2024. It will be held from (Sat).
The Rainbow Flower Festival is a flower event now in its third year, and the main attraction is the collaboration between Mt. Fuji and colorful flowers. This year’s theme is “Feeling autumn a little earlier.” The theme is a complete change from the bright pink of spring, with zinnias of various colors such as yellow, red, pink, and orange, and beautiful rudbeckias of bright yellow that look like miniature sunflowers.
Fifteen varieties of flowers, including prairie sun, decorate the foot of Mt. Fuji.
Photo spots that became a hot topic at the Fuji Shibazakura Festival, such as the “pop-up picture book world” created by students from the Kenuchi Laboratory of the Tokyo University of the Arts and the “Small Boat Traveling on the Rainbow Sea” floating in a flower field, will also appear in autumn. You can also take photos that will look great on social media with the spectacular view of Mt. Fuji.
In addition, “Peter Rabbit (TM)” in the venue
“English Garden” features “Mt. Fuji hydrangea”, a type of hydrangea from Yamanashi Prefecture whose flower spikes resemble the shape of Mt. Fuji.
You can see the seasonal expressions of about 300 types of plants and flowers, such as the “Hokuto” at their peak, and the grasses becoming brighter in the fall.
The venue, Fuji Motosuko Resort, is approximately 1,000m above sea level. The average temperature is about 5 degrees Celsius lower than in the city center, making it a spot where you can experience the coolness unlike the city center, where the heatwave remains. “Feel an early autumn at the cool foot of Mt. Fuji.” Please look forward to the beautiful “Rainbow Flower Festival” where Mt. Fuji and colorful flowers collaborate.
