“I was able to experience coexistence with nature and the warmth of people that I could not get in the city!” Comments from university students participating in the Kaida Plateau Agriculture Project Certified NPO REALE
WORLD (hereinafter referred to as Reale World) is planning and operating the “2024 Kaida Plateau Agricultural Experience Program” at Kaida Plateau in Kiso Town, Kiso District, Nagano Prefecture from the end of July to mid-September.
This time, Emily Murata, a third-year student at Hosei University, participated in the first period of the program from July 29th (Monday) to August 3rd (Saturday), and after the period ended, she sent us the following impressions. He gave it to me.
“This time, I participated in the Kaida Plateau Agriculture Project sponsored by Reale World for about a week.
Kaida Plateau is blessed with nature, and I had many experiences unique to Kaida Plateau, such as Mt. Ontake and the beautiful stars visible at night.
When I joined the project, I thought that agriculture would be the center of my experience, but when I actually participated, I was able to interact with the villagers, see their real living environment, and feel like I was one of the villagers. I did.
During this stay, I was able to experience the mutual help of villagers, the coexistence with nature, and the warmth of people that I could not experience in the city, which is unique to the Kaida Highlands.
During my stay, I was indebted to many people and had a week of learning. I would like to express my gratitude to the villagers who helped us, including Reale World, who planned this project.

The “2024 Kaida Plateau Agriculture Experience Program” operated by Reale World provides participants with an unprecedented experience in the unknown nature, expanding their horizons and knowledge.
We provide opportunities for personal growth and future actions.
In addition to understanding the actual situation in Kiso Town = current issues in Japan, such as the aging of agricultural workers, labor shortages, and environmental issues,
Through discussions with office staff, we aim to solve various problems “on our own”
This program is an opportunity to think about things differently, and is supported by the Kiso Town Hall in Nagano Prefecture.
This event is open to people over the age of 18, and university students are also welcome to participate.
We are currently recruiting participants for the 5th to 7th periods.
5th period…5 nights and 6 days from August 26th (Monday) to August 31st (Saturday)
6th period…5 nights and 6 days from September 2nd (Monday) to September 7th (Saturday)
7th period…5 nights and 6 days from September 9th (Monday) to September 14th (Saturday)
