Run through the most beautiful valley in Japan! The first cycling x activity tour will be held in the Japan Heritage Ontake Shosenkyo Gorge!
The regional sports commission “Yamanashi Sports Engine” planned and operated the “Japan Heritage Mitake Shosenkyo Cycling x Activity Tour” in the area around Shosenkyo, which is registered as a Japanese Heritage, on October 13, 2020 ( It will be held for the first time on Sunday.
This tour will start from “Shingen no Yu Yumura Onsenkyo” in Kofu City and aim for “Mitake Shosenkyo”, a scenic spot that boasts the most beautiful valley in Japan and has been certified as a Japanese Heritage Site.
In the Shosenkyo area, you can enjoy the beauty of the valley as you ride along the road along the valley, which is normally not possible for bicycles. There are two types of courses: one that goes up to Shosenkyo Gorge and one that goes further uphill from Shosenkyo. After arriving at your destination, you can experience special activities such as a tent sauna, hiking in Itashiki Valley, and canoeing on Lake Nosen (Arakawa Dam).
On the day of the event, a Yamanashi Cycle Tour Guide certified by Yamanashi Sports Engine will escort you safely.
