Although the overall number of fires has been on the decline in recent years, the number of fires at restaurants has been on the rise, and this trend is particularly noticeable at Yakiniku restaurants, with an increase in fires caused by smokeless roasters. The main cause of this is that the ignited pieces of meat or flames are sucked into the exhaust duct pipe, igniting the oil and fat stuck inside the duct and causing a fire. Exhaust ducts run under the floor or inside walls, and are often structurally impossible to clean. Even if it is possible, the floorboards and wall materials must be removed to clean them, which takes a lot of time and money.
By combining our oil stain cleaning know-how with the automation and robot development knowledge of the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Technology Research Center, we will clean duct pipes that are difficult to clean by hand in order to solve the problems faced by restaurants. We have been working on joint development of robots.
