We will be holding an online technical training course for young people aiming to become professional illustrators in Cambodia from 17:00 Japan time on Friday, August 30, 2024. This event is part of the Japan Foundation’s (JF) “Next Generation Co-Creation Partnership – Cultural WA2.0” project (*1), and will be held for the second time since 2023. *
Our company produces advanced illustrations that are required in a variety of fields, and we provide training to improve techniques for this purpose. *
This time, we will publish illustration techniques and production processes online, and we hope that young Cambodian talents will be able to utilize this know-how and help realize their dreams. * *1 “Next Generation Co-Creation Partnership – Cultural WA2.0″ project Taking the opportunity of the 50th anniversary of Japan-ASEAN friendship and cooperation (2023), the Japan Foundation (JF) has launched a comprehensive people-to-people exchange project, “Next Generation Co-Creation,” with the aim of promoting next-generation exchanges and human resource development between Japan and ASEAN. Partnership – Cultural WA2.0 – will be intensively implemented over the next 10 years.
This initiative is a progressive continuation of the cultural exchange project with Asia that JF conducted from 2014 to 2023, “Cultural WA (Wa, Circle, Circle) – Getting to know Asia,” and is particularly expected from ASEAN countries. This includes the continuation of the Nihongo Partners business, which had a large impact. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Kishida at the Japan-ASEAN Special Summit held on December 17th.

The illustration production course held in 2023 was attended by many people and received a very positive response.
Currently, in Cambodia and other Asian countries, the number of young people who are influenced by Japanese content and aspire to become illustrators is increasing.
However, the current situation is that the learning environment is not yet fully developed.
We at Aquastar would like to create valuable learning opportunities for young people in Cambodia by providing the illustration production techniques and know-how that we have cultivated over the years.
