Ueno has a history of being a region rich in diversity. Through Bon Odori, we aim to become a bridge between diverse people and create moments where the series of “miracles” of multicultural coexistence turn into excitement. *

The impetus was the revival of the Ueno Bon Odori Festival, which had been lost half a century ago. It was planned by students in 2019 and attracted 10,000 visitors. Even during the coronavirus pandemic, we have continued to be active online,

We were the only students selected for the “FESTIVAL” certified project. *

Ueno has two distinct cultural areas: the “mountain” with its high culture and Western culture, such as shrines, temples, and art museums, and the “town”, which has a downtown area with shopping streets such as Ameyoko and traditional culture. It is also an area visited by many people from both Japan and abroad. *

By using traditional songs and songs that are familiar to young people, we create a space where everyone in the room needs and enjoys each other.

participants can enjoy the event.

An NPO that manages volunteer projects. Founded as a student organization in 2014 with the aim of participating in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, we are working to continue and develop the legacy of various Tokyo 2020 Games-related projects, as well as researching and developing attractive volunteer projects. . Last year, the Ueno Summer Festival ~Shinobazu Yume~ was held and attracted approximately 33,000 visitors. This event was held at the Osaka/Kansai Expo’s TEAM
