About “Komitsu”
“Amitsu
-komitsu- is a mead produced by Minenoyuki Sake Brewery in Kitakata City, Fukushima Prefecture, based on an ancient recipe. We recreated the mead recipe “Bochet” that appeared in a book published in France in 1393 using domestically produced mead. The honey is made with nectar from Aizu and Tochi flowers, which have a strong sweetness, richness, and richness. By using the Bochet manufacturing method, which involves slowly fermenting caramelized honey, it has a deep amber color. The fragrant mead has been completed.
*What is mead*
“Mead” is an alcoholic beverage made from honey. Also known as honey wine, it is made by fermenting honey, water, and yeast. Its origins are older than wine, and it is said to have been around for more than 10,000 years, making it the “oldest alcoholic drink of mankind.” In addition to the uniqueness of honey, it is characterized by the fact that its taste and color vary greatly depending on the environment and climate, and in recent years there has been an increase in the number of sake breweries in Japan producing it, making it a popular alcoholic beverage.
* Taste of “komitsu”*
It is characterized by a sweet caramel aroma that gives off an inviting aroma, and a deep and gorgeous scent reminiscent of brandy. Although the main character is the soft, sweet scent typical of mead, it has a complex spread of multiple scent elements, including caramel, flowers, and vanilla. The smooth sweetness and subtle acidity combine to create an elegant, rich flavor and a fragrant lingering finish. Product details
