Electricity Sharing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Naoki Sakai) has launched a nudge program to encourage prosumers to maximize their CO2 emissions avoidance as part of the new national movement “Deco-katsu” that aims to realize a decarbonized society. The demonstration is being carried out under contract from the Ministry of the Environment.

“ Decokatsu
” is the nickname of the “National Movement to Create a New and Prosperous Life Leading to Decarbonization,”
It is a new word that combines “Deco”, which includes

In order to contribute to the further mainstreaming of deco living, we have independently developed a smartphone app based on our original DS nudge model: electric power version and using Chubu Electric Power’s AI-based power generation prediction technology. , we are conducting a nudge demonstration to encourage optimal behavior among prosumers.

We are also conducting social demonstration experiments (GX Community Project) with the cooperation of multiple local governments, including Shiojiri City, Nagano Prefecture.

Collecting past electricity purchases and sales from the Electric Plumbing Association, and utilizing Chubu Electric Power’s AI prediction technology, predict and visualize each household’s surplus electricity sales, self-consumption, and avoided CO2 emissions (baseline) using AI. We are developing our own smartphone app. Here, we use our patented technology to evaluate efforts to reduce CO2 emissions through surplus electricity sales and provide continuous feedback.
