Press release: August 19, 2024
**
We have started an initiative to return a portion of hotel
accommodation fees to artists with disabilities at the Heral Bonnie Room at FAV HOTEL and FAV LUX.
*A hotel where people with disabilities can enjoy traveling freely. Simultaneously released a special website that describes the accommodation experiences of three groups of people with disabilities and their families*
* Heralbony Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Heralbony) is a fav hospitality company.
FAV ⁄ FAV, a hotel business with 12 rooms in 8 facilities across the country, operated by the company together with Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as FHG)
At the Heral Bonnie Room in the “LUX” series, we have introduced a new system from August 1st in which a portion of the accommodation fee is paid to the artist. In addition, in the hope that as many people as possible can enjoy their travels freely, we have created a special website with articles that describe accommodation experiences by people who feel hurdles to travel, such as people with disabilities and their families. ■Collaboration background
FHG, which wants to be a place that is friendly to everyone, and Heralbony, which aims to create a new culture based on welfare and change the image of “disability,” have decided to join forces in 2022 as the philosophies of both companies resonate. Since 2013, we have been creating “Heral Bonnie Rooms” in which guest rooms are decorated with artworks by unique artists. In this project, we will pay artists 500 yen per night as a usage fee for their works, and we will also provide a “fav.
⁄ FAV LUX”, we have launched a special website where we write about our accommodation experiences.
■Part of the accommodation fee will be used as compensation for the artist. In this project, a total of 500 yen per room per night, 250 yen from the guest and 250 yen from FHG, will be paid to the artist through Heralbony. Rather than providing support to people with disabilities, this initiative expands the opportunities for artists by paying usage fees for their works, leading to their creative activities and their dissemination.
* ■Initiatives so far*
“fav” and Heralbony will be joining “fav” for the first time in 2022. Starting with the initiative to install an art room at Hiroshima Stadium featuring art by Heralbony contract artists (10 artists, 11 works in total), we have expanded this initiative to 12 rooms in 8 facilities across the country. The establishment of an art room not only allows travelers to feel like they are staying in an art museum, but also allows everyone to travel freely, including traditional customers as well as those who feel psychological hurdles when traveling. We have been striving to become a hotel where you can enjoy. Through these initiatives, we have decided to introduce a model in which we will pay the artist for their accommodation, so that we can take society one step further toward realizing a society where everyone, with and without disabilities, can live as they please. ■Special site concept
A special website that publishes lodging experiences provides information to make your trip more free and enjoyable, with hotels where everyone can stay comfortably. We aim to create a hotel where everyone can stay comfortably by utilizing the opinions and insights gained from our stay at the hotel, including those who felt
psychological hurdles during their trip.
Enjoy more freedom.
Here, you can travel more freely.
to enjoy in various ways
A place full of hints.
With family, friends, or even alone.
I can’t stay because I have a child.
I can’t stay overnight because I have a disability.
There’s no need to worry about that here.
It’s okay if it’s not okay.
Because travel is for everyone.

To live is to draw. He depicts the scenery he sees while traveling around the world with his family, using his unique world view full of light and color. He has a color sense and sensitivity that has been described as magical, and can instantly select a color from hundreds of colors to create a painting. His artwork has received high praise both domestically and internationally, and large-scale votive tablets have been dedicated to the votive tablets of Kyoto Kamigoryo Shrine and Kyoto Imperial Palace Hakuun Shrine.

Born in 1994. autism. Currently enrolled at Matsusaka Challenged Place Kibo no Sono. Create a surface by painting with crayon, then scrape it with a needle to erase the color, collect the crayon scraps, and use them like clay to create works of art.
Recently, there has been a wide range of production methods, such as adding poster colors to crayons and carving the colored surface with a needle on board or canvas. In fact, the lumps (which he calls koroichi) that are made by collecting the shavings are his real works, and the resulting paintings are just the shavings left behind, and he has no interest in them.

I love walking, and even when I’m in a wheelchair, my legs bounce up and down when I feel better. During my painting time, I hold a brush that makes the sound of a bell while walking, and I enjoy painting by tapping it and sometimes stroking it. The dancing style of the drawings is reminiscent of Matsumoto’s fun, and the playful touch seems to bring back fond memories.

Since exhibiting at Art Brut Tachikawa in 2015, he has been presenting his works every year. Although he uses a variety of art materials such as colored pencils, pastels, and paints, he prefers to use a painting knife. In recent years, he has started painting figurative paintings (still life paintings) in addition to abstract paintings. In addition to painting, he has been learning the cello for 20 years, and his seriousness when playing music is impressive. Although she is not good at conversation, she is very curious and tackles everything with great enthusiasm.

■Comments from the person in charge of the project
Mr. Asai
“It’s more fun if everyone is together.”
This is fav’s tagline. We wanted to eliminate the psychological hurdles for people with disabilities to stay overnight, and we wanted to let them know that it’s okay for everyone to come here without worrying about anything, so we came up with the idea of
incorporating artwork by Heralbony contract artists into the hotel. did. Their artwork is wonderful as art in itself, and we hope that it will serve as a feast for the eyes of guests and serve as a welcome message for those with disabilities. I hope that a world will come where it is also natural to be with people with disabilities, as people experience the wonders of art in a very natural way.

[Overview of Heralbony Co., Ltd.]
Heralbony is a company that creates a new culture together with unique artists, with the mission of “Unleash your uniqueness.” We manage the licenses of more than 2,000 pieces of art data drawn by domestic and international artists, mainly those with intellectual disabilities, and are developing them into a variety of businesses. Rather than providing support, we work as equal business partners, respecting the artist’s wishes while proceeding with the project, and building a system to pay them fair royalties.
In addition to HERALBONY, a brand that uses art to transform society, we also have an account business that supports corporate DE&I promotion through the planning and production of products and spaces, creative production that accurately conveys initiatives, and employee training programs, and challenges new “common sense”.
