Aim Technologies Co., Ltd. began developing collaboration with OID over four years ago with Nippon Otis. We have been commercially introducing this system to a large hotel in Osaka for three years, and to date we have had no problems with elevators.
This time, we confirmed that the robot can respond without problems even if the elevator enters controlled operation due to a failure (earthquake, fire, etc.) (In Japan, it is proposed that the robot not move from the elevator, so we implemented it according to the procedure We have confirmed this through experiments and have received proof.
We believe that this certification will be extremely important if our robot is to be linked to the world’s OTIS elevator, which has the world’s top market share, and will greatly contribute to the sales expansion of our robot overseas.
Our company provides cleaning robots, delivery robots, transportation robots, etc. as service robots to solve labor shortage situations. In particular, we are focusing on developing and deploying elevator solutions that allow our robots and other companies’ robots to get on and off. In the case of OTIS elevators, connection is made via the OTIS cloud, but in the case of elevators made by other domestic manufacturers, we have developed and provided a system that allows robots to work together in a short period of half a day, using a control panel connection method. We are doing so. On the robot side, both the OTIS cloud and the operation panel can be connected using the same API as the AIM cloud, and once connected to our company, any elevator can be linked without changing the software.
