MATCH 1: [AWAY] DetonatioN FocusMe vs Nagoya NTPOJA [HOME]
[Image 2: https://prtimes.jp/i/13450/4473/resize/d13450-4473-c4b9e9623b73bb64d528-11.jpg&s3=13450-4473-805fbac0ab643cab26011cb391e86da3-1920×1080.jpg] ■Spearhead match: 〇 Machabo (Akuma) (classic) vs Mocchi (Akuma) (classic) × A spearhead battle between rivals who once surpassed each other. “Mochchi”, who is making his first appearance in the SF League, is attacked by “Macchabo”, who attacks with a fierce attack as if to introduce him to the SF League. Machabo, who did not give Mocchi any time to calm down and continued to put pressure on him by walking forward, completely controlled the flow of the fight. They achieved a 2-0 straight victory by doing what is commonly called “making the opponent understand.”
■Mid-level match: 〇 Nauman (Ken) (Classic) vs. Otani (Ken) (Classic) × In the early stages, “Otani” continued to attack somewhat forcefully with “Drive Impact”, overwhelming “Nauman” without giving him any chance to counterattack. However, “Nauman” recovered well after the interval and started a counterattack, successfully winning back the second battle. Then, the outcome of the match became entangled in the third BATTLE.
The final battle was a close one that could have won, but in the end it was Nauman who successfully combined Otani’s mid-range attack with a throw to win. Ken Miller won the match.
■General match: × John Takeuchi (Rashid) (classic) vs KEI.B (Vega) (classic) 〇 A general battle between “KEI.B” using Vega, which is said to have an advantage over Rashid used by “John Takeuchi”. “KEI.B”, who used the long reach of his regular moves and high firepower to quickly take the fight, succeeded in taking the lead.
However, “John Takeuchi” also created chances from attacking the edge of the screen, which is Rashid’s specialty, and regained the battle. In the final battle, which ended at 2-2, “John Takeuchi” attempted a match with Rashid’s Super Arts Lv.2 “Iusar”, but “KEI.B” was able to surpass him. “If we lose here, it’s over and we’ll be disqualified as leaders.” The unyielding determination of “KEI.B”, who pushed himself to the point where he was able to secure the victory that saved the team.
■Overtime: 〇 Machabo (Akuma) (Classic) vs KEI.B (Vega) (Classic) × In contrast to Machabo, who showed a stunning victory in the lead-off match, KEI. “KEI.B” was eager for a come-from-behind victory, but the attack from “Machaboo” turned him into a defensive player. In the 2nd ROUND, “Machaboo” uses Akuma’s Super Arts Lv. 3 “Gakkyou” to burn out the opponent with “Hyakki Go Zanku” and uses “Drive Impact” to stun the opponent, making it a match. . He was exactly what he is known as Mr. Optimum, and took the team’s first win of the season. The opening game, MATCH 1, was dragged into overtime due to the persistence of “KEI.B”, but thanks to the efforts of “Machaboo”, “DetonatioN FocusMe” achieved its first victory.
[Post-match interview with Machabo]
Q1.: First of all, how do you look back on the Senkou match?
Machabo: I was a little nervous about playing against two players of the same character, but I think I was able to take advantage of the advice from my teammates and come out with a win.
Q2.: How was the participation in the overtime game decided? Machabo: I decided to participate after receiving feedback from my teammates saying, “I think Machabo is good.” To be honest, I was so busy cheering for my teammates that I couldn’t think of the extra time, but I’m glad we were able to win safely.
Q3.: Have you ever been conscious of overtime (1 BATTLE first)? Machabo: I was conscious of “having confidence,” “not being afraid,” and “opening up.”
Q4: Lastly, please tell us your enthusiasm for the next chapter. Machabo: I was very happy that both myself and my team were able to win in the opening match against the away side. Continuing with this trend, we would like to practice hard as a team and aim for victory in the next round.
MATCH 2: [AWAY] Good 8 Squad vs Shinobiism Gaming [HOME]
[Image 3: https://prtimes.jp/i/13450/4473/resize/d13450-4473-aebf80c216e02cb2c36e-10.jpg&s3=13450-4473-e1ce580060e3bf6e549ac6c83bf888b9-1920×1080.jpg ]
■Spearhead match: 〇 YHC-Mochi (Dhalsim) (Classic) vs Momochi (Ed) (Classic) × “YHC-Mochi” uses “Yoga Teleport” to successfully counter “Momochi”’s “anti-air attack”, and continues to dominate the match. “Momochi” also managed to avoid Dhalsim’s long-reach attacks and created many chances, but was unable to break down “YHC-Mochi”. In the final stages of the 2nd BATTLE, “Momochi” tried to win with a “combo attack” involving super arts, but once again, “YHC-Mochi” showed a splendid response and counterattacked, winning the spearhead battle.
■Medium match: 〇 Gachi-kun (Rashid) (classic) vs. Fujimura (Akuma) (classic) × From the 1st BATTLE, “Gachi-kun” skillfully took control of the match using Rashid’s Super Arts Lv.2 “Iusar” as a starting point. However, “Fujimura” cannot be defeated easily either. He succeeded in taking back the battle with a “combo attack” using Super Arts Lv. 3 “Magic”. It was a middle-class battle with a back-and-forth battle, and a full set full round, but in the end, “Gachi-kun” performed a “Lethal Combo” that took away “Fujimura”s stock, and “Gachi-kun” fulfilled last season’s revenge. I grabbed a win.
■General match: 〇 Kawano (Akuma) (classic) vs Johnny (Marisa) (classic) × From the beginning, Kawano showed great maneuverability to avoid getting caught in Mariza’s attacks. He made a series of super plays that could be said to be typical of Kawano, such as his “Just Parry” at key points and his super reaction to Mariza’s “Phalanx” with Akuma’s “Go Shoryuken.” In the end, Akuma’s Super Arts Lv. 2 “Kouten Kouka” engaged against the opponent’s “Dry Brush” and the match was decided. “Kawano” completely defeated “Johnny” with a score of 3-0. It was a spectacular performance that marked the team’s opening game with a victory.
Even though they were on the away side, the Good 8 Squad won all their matches with an outstanding finish.
I would like to pay attention to the future of this team, which is aiming to take the lead in order to avenge last year’s defeat. [Post-match interview with Gachi-kun]
Q1.: How do you look back on your own matches?
Gachikun: In the end, we were able to win 2-1, but due to our impatience in the first match, we ended up giving our opponent a chance to come back a lot, so I want to take advantage of what we learned and use it for the next match. I think so.
Q2.: Please tell me how you decided on this season’s orders. Gachi-kun: Until yesterday, “YHC-Mochi” was scheduled to participate in the Taisho match. However, this morning, I changed my order because I was wary of Yamaguchi’s deejay. Kawano seemed to have more confidence in his ability to fight against Ed and Akuma, so I entrusted him with the fight against the general.
Q3.: Last season must have been a bitter experience for you, but what kind of enthusiasm are you heading into this year?
Gachikun: Honestly, last year, Street Fighter 6 had just been released, and I couldn’t decide on a good start because I didn’t know which character to use. We’re confident in our strength when it comes to mastering the game, and we’ve seen results in the most recent tournaments this year, so all members are confident going into the SF League.
Q4: Lastly, please tell us your enthusiasm for the next chapter. Gachikun: It’s still early in the season so I can’t say for sure, but I think our next opponent, “Saishunkan Sol Kumamoto,” will be a turning point, so we’ll have to face our fear. I would like to let you know.
MATCH 3: [AWAY] Saishunkan Sol Kumamoto vs FUKUSHIMA IBUSHIGIN [HOME]
[Image 4: https://prtimes.jp/i/13450/4473/resize/d13450-4473-8062495cfaf2179477a6-10.jpg&s3=13450-4473-9503610fae8d458ba355ecda0a9264eb-1920×1080.jpg] ■Spearhead match: 〇 Higuchi (Gyle) (Classic) vs Sasamo (Ed) (Classic) × Higuchi, who toyed with his opponent by showing excellent distance management both forward and backward, also showed outstanding SA gauge management and won the first battle. On the other hand, “Sasamo” regained control of the battle using a “combo attack” from Ed’s “Psycho Cannon”, and the match went into a full set at 1-1. “Sasamo” evaded Guile’s attacks and created many chances, but he was unable to make the next push. Higuchi, who had a well-organized match against Ed, won the important first match.
■Medium match: 〇 Umehara (Akuma) (Classic) vs Yanai (Vega) (Classic) × “Umehara” has finally returned to the SF League stage. Using the character Akuma’s “Go Hadouken” and “Zankuu Hadouken”, he skillfully assembled a match, cornered his opponent at the edge of the screen, and won the first battle. In the second BATTLE that follows, “Yanai” starts a counterattack. He defeated his opponent by utilizing his anti-air attack with Overdrive Psycho Crusher Attack and Vega’s high attack power. In the final round of the 3rd BATTLE, “Umehara” was cornered to the edge of the screen with little stamina left, but in the most important scene, he used Akuma’s critical art “Shun Gokusatsu” to come back and win. Viewers were most excited about the dramatic return of the king of the day.
■General Battle: × Fuudo (Ed) (Classic) vs. Sho (Akuma) (Classic) 〇 “Foudo” is on the defensive due to Sho’s brilliant moves. “Sho” evaded Ed’s restraints and won 2 BATTLE in a row in the blink of an eye. Fudo was cornered, but the tide completely changed after the interval. He also won 2 BATTLE in a row, bringing the match to a full set. Fudo showed amazing tenacity, but in the end it was Sho who won. At the end, he finished with a dignified forward walk and throw, earning the team its first victory in its first appearance.
■Overtime: 〇 Fuudo (Ed) (Classic) vs. Sho (Akuma) (Classic) × Overtime with the same combination as the General’s game. “Food Player” shows various responses to Akuma’s “Hyakki Attack”.
Immediately applying what he learned from the Taisho match, he continued to show changes in his stance and succeeded in taking the lead. “Fudo”, who kept calmly checking the situation until the end, won. He got his revenge against the general and brought home victory to his team.
“Saishunkan Sol Kumamoto” was able to fend off the onslaught of “FUKUSHIMA IBUSHIGIN,” a group of young players.
They scored an important win on the away side and got off to a good start towards their long-awaited first victory.
[Post-match interview with Fuudo]
Q1.: In the Taisho match, you showed that you were catching up from the interval, but did you receive any advice from your teammates?
Fuudo: I had prepared a lot for the Akuma match, so I didn’t have any advice beforehand. I tried the next battle after sorting out the fact that I had been hit by a lot of Hyakki Goba during the match, and the fact that I had been defeated at the edge of the screen. We received some advice that our bullets might be lacking, so we made adjustments during the match. This time, there was a lot of advice from Akuma tamer “Umehara” about the differences between regular practice and actual matches, and the mistakes that can be made.
Q2.: What is the atmosphere like during team practice?
Fuudo: Rather than giving advice to my teammates, I usually ask each other questions. For example, “Higuchi” asked me a question like “Why don’t you do psycho judo with awaseme?” During a match, if I listen to everyone’s advice, I lose my focus, so I try to focus on one direction and listen to advice. We are a team of strong team members, and there is a sense of trust that voicing your opinions will lead to improvements, so I think this is a team where it is easy to express your opinions.
Q3.: How was it decided whether to play in extra time?
Fuudo: First, “Umehara” said emphatically, “Fudo is fine.” Also, although I lost in the general match, I felt like I was getting better, so I decided to go on my own. Even if someone other than me participated, it was difficult to predict the outcome of the match against Sho, who would appear in the general match, so I decided to participate because I can calculate a win rate of at least 50%. Masu. Q4: Lastly, please tell us your enthusiasm for the next chapter. Fuudo: Our team was on the away side for the second consecutive game, and I was afraid that if we didn’t get any points, our excitement would drop. We won today and earned 25 points, so if we can earn points in the next match against Good 8 Squad, we will be able to move up in the rankings, so we want to earn points.
