Adults and children alike can enjoy ancient times through art! 6th Ancient Festival held
*The ancient festival, which is popular all over Kyushu, will be held for the first time in five years at Reizensou, the place where it all began. It’s a school festival-like event with cultural goods and ancient foods themed around Kyushu’s Haniwa. *
10 since the first event
The ancient festival has reached its 20th anniversary. It has been decided that the 6th ancient festival with the theme of Haniwa in Kyushu will be held at the place where it all began, “Reizensou”. Cultural property goods and food created by artists have been further enhanced by the ancient festivals held throughout Kyushu. In the ancient talk, where you can listen to the real voices of cultural property managers, geeky stories will be told, from Kyushu’s interesting haniwa to deep ones. On the final day, a Hani Chawa party was held as a closing party. You can enjoy interacting with archeology professionals and archeology fans while listening to Kodai Band’s performance. In addition, archeological sweets such as clay clay cookies will be served. Anyone can participate, like a school festival Join us for 2 days of enjoying the entire ancient past at the event “Kodai Fest”.

Let’s join in the fun of Kyushu’s mysterious Haniwa talk with Mr. Cylindrical Haniwa!
We will welcome Mr. Kishimoto, also known as “Kyuzutsu Haniwa Sensei,” chief researcher at the Kyushu National Museum, and we will listen to his deep, profound, and interesting stories about Kyushu’s Haniwa.

An annual social gathering for ancient festivals. A mysterious space where both archeology fans and archeology professionals can have fun chatting. Enjoy the music of the Kodai Band while enjoying tea with archeological sweets such as Haniwa cookies that can only be eaten here.
