[Zeroboard Co., Ltd.] “Zeroboard for batteries” has been selected as a demonstration and support project by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry for the third consecutive term
*Zero Board Co., Ltd.*
Press release: August 20, 2024
**
“Zeroboard for batteries” has been selected for the third consecutive period as a demonstration and support project by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
*~ Accumulating orders from multiple automobile OEMs, battery manufacturers, and supplier companies, and providing services while continuing to evolve ~*
Zero Board Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Michitaka Tokeji, hereinafter referred to as “Minato-ku, Tokyo”) supports corporate sustainability management.
Zeroboard is a solution developed for automobile manufacturers and storage battery manufacturing companies to comply with European battery regulations.
batteries (Zero Board for Batteries)
This solution) is a demonstration and support project (hereinafter referred to as “low carbon investment promotion organization (GIO)” that is subsidized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry). We would like to inform you that we have been selected for this demonstration project for the third time in a row since the initial public offering.

Our company’s “Zeroboard for batteries” is based on Ouranos, a supply chain data collaboration platform promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
As a certified application linked to the Uranus Ecosystem (*1), it has been used for the first time from September 2023 to February 2024, the second time from April to August 2024, and continues until now. was selected for this demonstration project.

We have already received orders from several automobile OEMs, battery manufacturers, and their suppliers, and this call for proposals will strengthen the functionality of this solution, in addition to carbon footprint (CFP) (*2) calculation, human rights, environment, We will also support the implementation of due diligence (DD) collaboration functions.
In the future, we will also work on CFP calculations for storage battery recycling and automobile LCA (*3).
* Background of this demonstration project *

Due to concerns about the environmental impact of storage battery manufacturing, rules regarding the reuse and recycling of storage batteries when disposing of electric vehicles are being formed in each country, and mechanisms for data linkage in the supply chain are being created.

This demonstration project will demonstrate the acquisition of sustainability-related data such as CFP, and build a system to share and utilize that data with third parties, while preserving
confidential information of each company. This is to establish a system for data linkage.

Against this background, we will promote the spread of electric vehicles, etc. and reduce CO2 emissions by developing apps that collect and calculate information such as CFP of storage batteries, human rights and environmental DD in the supply chain, and initiatives related to various data linkages. The objective is to further strengthen industrial competitiveness, including promotion.
* Demonstration project overview *
Our company was selected for the demonstration of “1. Data linkage”. Executive organization: Low Carbon Investment Promotion Organization (Subsidy provided by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) Subsidiary business operator Zero Board Co., Ltd.
Subsidy project name FY2020 Overview of infrastructure development and demonstration project to improve the sustainability of products such as storage batteries
Budget project Ministry in charge Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry Contents 1. Data linkage
Based on the “Guidelines for Data Linkage Mechanisms in Supply Chains Beta Version” presented by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Digital Architecture Design Center of the
Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan, we are conducting research on storage batteries and their components in the storage battery supply chain. We will develop and modify storage battery traceability management systems and applications to link data between companies that manufacture products, so that traceability can be ensured, carbon footprint values can be aggregated, and human rights and environmental due diligence results can be appropriately collected. We will demonstrate connectivity between systems, applications, etc.

2. Reuse and recycling of storage batteries
With the spread of electric vehicles, the battery ecosystem will need to be improved, including ensuring traceability of battery recovery, appropriate value evaluation of used storage batteries, appropriate secondary use of in-vehicle storage batteries, recovery of useful resources, and use of recycled materials. It is necessary to promote efforts toward the establishment of In addition, from the perspective of reducing the cost burden on primary consumers and reducing the environmental burden, storage batteries, which have strengths such as sustainability of battery performance, will be most effective throughout the entire battery ecosystem, including secondary use. It is important to build a system that will be utilized, and we will work to realize this.
Period: July 2020 to February 2020
