GP Online Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director and President: Toyonaga), which operates a comprehensive website production business.
Yutaka) conducted a content survey on recruitment sites for companies in the construction industry and announced the results.
Investigation background
From April 1, 2024, upper limit regulations on overtime work based on the “Work Style Reform Related Act” will also apply to the
construction industry. This regulation poses a major challenge for the construction industry, where long working hours are the norm. The shortage of human resources is becoming more serious due to the aging of the population and the decline in the working population, and there is an urgent need to improve the working environment. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has proposed specific measures, such as formulating the “Construction Industry Work Style Reform Acceleration Program.” Companies must implement these measures and conduct recruitment activities to secure new human resources while increasing efficiency and productivity.

Against this background, we conducted this survey to investigate the current state of recruitment sites in the construction industry and clarify how companies are disseminating information to secure human resources. Specifically, we evaluated the quality and quantity of information provided as indicators of a recruitment site’s appeal to job seekers.
Survey results summary
– 90.7% of companies in the construction industry have a recruitment website – 20.6% of companies have recruitment sites for new graduates and career groups
– The average number of pages for recruitment site content is 37.5 pages, and the median is 32.0 pages.
– Core Web Vitals pass rate is 67.7% on desktop and 64.7% on mobile – The most frequently installed content is “Training system content”, with 86.8% posting information.

In the construction industry, 20.6% of companies have separate recruitment sites for new graduates and career candidates.
This survey found that 90.7% of companies have a recruitment site, and of those, 20.6% have a recruitment site for new graduates and career types.

The average number of pages on a site is 37.5 pages, and over 60% of companies use Core Web.
Although more than half of them passed the Vitals standards, more than half of them passed based on origin data (user data including corporate sites), so it can be said that the recruitment site alone does not have enough user data (number of accesses). Masu.

In the construction industry, it is particularly difficult to form a population, so it is likely that there will be a lack of access, but the challenge is how to lead people to recruitment sites at a time when your company is recognized. We need to put more effort into disseminating information so that recruitment sites become powerful recruiting tools, and we need to create mechanisms that will attract more job seekers.
Be creative in disseminating information that is difficult to provide! This survey revealed that there is little information regarding the working environment (rate of paid leave usage and average overtime hours) and treatment (evaluation system, model annual salary, salary and allowances). I believe that the construction industry is currently in the process of promoting work style reform, so I suspect that many companies are refraining from disclosing their working environment during the reform.

Even in such a situation, disclosing information about the current working environment and showing a roadmap for how to improve it in the future will not only benefit job seekers, but will also be a way to differentiate yourself from other companies in the industry. I think you will get it. Because the construction industry is so difficult to recruit, it is important to differentiate yourself by leveraging your strengths.

We hope that the results of this survey will help companies provide more effective information to job seekers and help them acquire human resources that are a good match for their companies.
