Pre-orders for “Tamba Chestnut”, an autumn flavor from Hyogo and Tamba that were very popular last year, are now on sale! This year, the “2L size (1kg)” standard is newly introduced!

From August 20th (Tuesday), pre-orders for JA Tanba Hikami’s “Tamba Chestnut” will begin at the shop “Collect, Hyogo.” within “JA Town,” a direct mail order site operated by JA Zen-Noh Hyogo. Masu.
“Tamba chestnuts” have been presented to the imperial court and shogunate since ancient times. “Tamba chestnuts” are of high quality, and the climate of the Tamba region, where there is a large temperature difference between morning and evening, tightens the chestnuts and increases their sweetness.
This year, we will be offering a new 2L size 1kg standard, and we will be accepting reservations for all 6 sizes. For those who have made a reservation, we plan to ship them sequentially from mid-October onwards.

Before shipping chestnuts, we are particular about safety and security, and only use “warm water sterilization” without the use of chemicals.
(1) Hot water treatment
By soaking chestnuts in hot water at 50 degrees for 30 minutes, we use hot water treatment to prevent the growth of insects.
In addition, by soaking in hot water, damaged grains that float (such as those that are not clogged with fruit) are removed.
