Event overview
Over the past 10 years, “1on1″ has become a common term in the business scene. On the other hand, 1on1 with 20 people is impossible! In the first place, many people feel that 1on1 is unnecessary. Are there no need for 1on1? Is there another better way? I often hear that 1on1 has become a mere token and that the load is a problem.
At this event, Kenro Terauchi, author of “Illustrated introductory book that clearly explains the basics and practices of 1on1 that is useful for business management”, and Koji Ota of Yumemi CHRO, who continues to explore technology through trial and error in the field. We will welcome you and deepen the “past,” “current,” and “future” of 1on1.
I hope that those who are aware of the problems in the practice of 1on1, and those who are continuing trial and error, will take home some hints for the future of 1on1.
Planner’s thoughts
As 1on1 becomes commonplace, 1on1 is very good! Required! Along with this voice, I have started to hear many voices saying that there is no point in trying 1on1, and that it is too much of a burden and they want to quit, but they can’t. While there are many people who feel the potential and effectiveness of 1on1, we must face up to the fact that it is difficult to change the reality that each person has their own unique characteristics and burdens on their superiors, which does not lead to a high-quality experience. That’s what I think. Mr. Terauchi and Mr. Ota have shared their vast experience and knowledge in order to open up the potential of 1on1 and to grasp hints on how to make the most of it in the future, rather than making arguments or blaming others. I thought I had it, so I made a plan.
