Entire market
In July, the vacancy rate in the five major wards was 0.15%, decreasing for the second consecutive month. Rent increased by 55 yen, the ratio of job openings to applicants decreased by 0.1 points to 1.23 times, and the unemployment rate improved to 2.5%. Offices seemed to be operating in July, but there was some movement in the industry as a whole. It was at a time when the economy was slowing down, and the market was somewhat stagnant. However, as can be seen from the decrease in vacancy rates, forward-looking relocation plans are continuing for reasons such as improving office locations, and we can expect the movement of office furniture to become more active. July findings
Compared to last month, the figures for July seem to have calmed down overall, and requests for additional purchases after the increase in office staff since the coronavirus pandemic continue to be the mainstay. Additionally, there is already a gradual increase in the movement toward opening new locations and opening new stores between September and December of this year. Meanwhile, the purchase of used furniture is progressing steadily, and it is expected that there will be sufficient supply.
