Background of joint research
AiHUB has focused on the development of basic models originating from the open source community of generative AI, and research and development in deep tech fields such as layer merging and
orchestration. In addition, since 2023, we have been conducting research and development on the use of AI in the entertainment field, including PoC of virtual humans using generative AI basic technology. By starting joint research with SB Intuitions, which conducts research on large-scale language models, we are promoting research into virtual human technology that combines a variety of technologies at an advanced level.
Overview of joint research
We will promote the following research and development.
●Construction of an advanced dialogue system based on a large-scale language model with high Japanese performance
●Building a virtual human that gives users a higher sense of reality ●Generation of virtual human movements and facial expressions according to utterance content
●Generation of natural movements of virtual humans

●Research and development on pre-training of large-scale language models ●Research and development on tuning large-scale language models for dialogue ●Research and development on dialogue systems (including peripheral subsystems) AiHUB
●Research and development of basic technology for virtual humans ●Research and development of movements, facial expressions, and lip synchronization depending on the conversation content and situation ●UIUX research and development through orchestration of large-scale language models
Future developments
Based on the advanced orchestration technology cultivated through this joint research and development, we will create a problem-solving model for ToB that achieves a higher level of UX, and a new communication service for ToC that uses own and other IP as points of contact. Furthermore, we aim to build a virtual human platform that integrates image, video, 3D, and other generation technologies with large-scale language models.
