Title: “About VACAN, a data collection and analysis service related to regions and tourism”
VACAN, provided by VACAN, is a comprehensive platform that utilizes AI and IoT to solve human flow issues such as congestion, queues, and full seats. It has been installed in commercial facilities, hotels, and other locations across Japan where congestion relief is required, detecting the congestion status of each store in real time, and distributing information through local signage and websites.
Furthermore, for the government, we are building a new platform that will centralize resident services through an app linked to the personal authentication infrastructure of the My Number Card. In addition to functions such as public facility reservations and electronic circulation boards, this platform also supports display of evacuation shelters, visualization of crowding conditions, check-in at evacuation shelters, and automatic creation of evacuee lists in the event of a disaster. We aim to realize a safer and more convenient society by enabling the government to smoothly disseminate and manage information both in daily life and during disasters.
