* NEWVIEW AWARDS 2024 theme *
* Visions that weave context. – Prospects for reweaving the
relationship between information and people -*

A long time has passed since everyone started owning a smartphone. With a flat screen that fits in your pocket, it connects us with content created in faraway lands and times, and uses AR to create illusions within reality and rewrite what’s right in front of us. . It is the construction of another world through magic.
However, magic that eliminates the relationship between place and time also removes the context that connects things and makes content and information lie on an endless horizon. Where is the depth to connect us with information…?
If you think about it, Apple Vision
Wouldn’t the perspective and tangible information environment brought about by spatial computing, including Pro, help rebuild the good relationship between humans and context? A story without context cannot exist.
The presence of immersive content, windows placed freely in reality, once again speaks to the important context in which we and ourselves exist. What are you knitting or retying in relation to what? If you want to overlay your vision with contextual content that will help you reorganize your business, now is the time.

* About NEWVIEW AWARDS 2024 division *
This year, Spatial is soliciting content for Apple Vision Pro. We have two divisions: the Computing division and the Site-specific AR division, which invites AR works that take advantage of location.

* ◆Spatial Computing Department*
This is a category where you create works that can be experienced with Apple Vision Pro.
We are looking for works that spin future stories through the concept of Spatial Computing and reframing the real world.
In late October, this division will select approximately 10 works from among the submitted works to be eligible for production support, and will provide them with the opportunity to receive technical support from STYLY in the realization of their plans.
The background behind our production support is Apple Vision. Since the knowledge and know-how for creating works in Pro is not well-developed, STYLY will support award applicants in creating their works.
Creators selected for production support will be able to improve their submitted works while receiving production support until 12:00 (UTC) on Tuesday, December 17th.

The content of the production support is as follows.
・Support for materializing plans linked to technology
・Technical support for production (text chat on Discord planned) The finalist works are scheduled to be exhibited somewhere in Tokyo in February 2025.
Spatial Computing will also be used in NEWVIEW SCHOOL 2024 (JP/global) We are creating works for the division, and the works of SCHOOL students will be judged from the finalist screening onward.

◆Site-specific AR section
We are looking for works that take advantage of location and weave future stories through reframing the real world.
By using STYLY’s city templates and Immersal, you can create site-specific works. Works that do not use these functions are also accepted, but since this year’s theme is to “leverage the sense of place to question the relationship with the real world,” when submitting a work, please be sure to ask where you would like to experience it. Presentation required.
If selected as a finalist, the finalists’ works will be exhibited at a certain location in Tokyo in February 2025.
